About

Hi, I’m Otto!

My face

I make freeware video games and work on lots of other silly creative projects, too, from crappy woodworking to urban wildlife photography. I also like sharing what I’m working on, and the things I’ve got done, and this is basically why this site exists :—)

I’ve had a website since I was in secondary school. It feels like the only permanent internet presence there is for me, as social media platforms come and go. Still, I’m currently also on Bsky (for now) and on Ko-Fi, where you can come show your support, if you’d like to. While you won’t get anything in return, other than a nice feeling for making my day, I’m also trying my best to find creative ways to thank all my supporters in every future project, so you might notice yourself in a shout-out (and on the supporters page here) <3

I spend a lot of my free time in front of my computer, working on projects, mostly new games. I used to have my own business and I made commercial iOS/web games from 2013 to 2014. Some might still remember games like Soccer Physics and Wrestle Jump, as they were fairly popular. Prior to that, I worked as a QA engineer and a game programmer for a few years. In 2023 I finally got back to making games again as I got excited about the open-source game engine, Godot. I’ve also been a bit evangelistic about Godot, as it’s been just so incredibly fun to use, even though I’m stuck using the older 3.6 branch of the engine, as it feels like a better fit for the old-schooly stuff I’m into. I’m currently trying to find my own style for 3D games (which is still very new to me), so recently I’ve mostly got done some quite experimental stuff, which I’m working on to turn into games worth playing by others, too.

That’s it, I think..! I live in Pirkkala, Finland, with my partner, and my favorite color is yellow, maybe. I like lasagna and riding my e-bike.

Consider signing the guestbook while you’re here!
